Welcome to the wave of the future!! Although rife with debate and cons, we must agree that in places where sun or water is not available or even in small-yards/court-yards, synthetic turf has its place.
The obvious pros are the lack of maintenance, mowing, watering and associated cost and time savings with the removal of these burdens. Some maintenance is required though; 6 monthly ‘power-brooming’, weekly ‘hosing’, weeding (around edges) and washing with washing powder for animal excrement.
The cons include; environmentally unfriendly, HOT in the sun - hotter than charcoal brick paving, lack of that ‘fresh air’ feeling, does not grow back when damaged, cost.
